Quick Pros and Cons of this safe.
Pros:
-Quality made, quality materials.
-Precision cut and fit, fits like a glove.
-Super easy install. It went in, in about 3 minutes.

Cons:
Attaches to the console with 4 self tapping screws into the plastic. Not super secure, but someone would still have heck of a time prying it out.
Biggest complaint is that the safe has huge holes in the back of it. That's a big design flaw. If someone does pry it out of your console, they don't even need to break open the safe, they can just stick there hand in and pull out what ever they want. The holes are easily big enough to pull a pistol through. If someone does pry it out and destroys your console, part of the satisfaction you get is knowing that now they have to break into the safe, they have to work for whatever is in there. But with this, you don't get that. They can just stick there hand in and pull out whatever they want. Overall, I am happy with the safe, its definitely a quality product. But its that design flaw that keeps me from loving it and raving about it.

Wow! I got this safe for my 2017 Ram 1500 Laramie and will never buy any other brand. Sure there’s cheaper console safes on the interweb’s however I’m a, American first buyer and was taught growing up, and, now proven that the ‘ol phrase “you get what you pay for” is a very valid phrase. Yes it’s true your able to find other products at a cheaper and unknown where it’s made, quality of material used to make it, so if your looking for a cheap way to kind of protect your things, then you might as well stop looking at this company, as you can see they are not the cheapest manufacturer. Quality and security is the main benefit you’ll get with Lock’er Down. Rarely when I’m not allowed to carry my weapon on me, I trust leaving my firearms in the truck without any hesitation or fear of them being taken.

As it’s known, most crooks are “smash and grabs” so they don’t want to take the time fiddling around and working to get access to this safe.

So to recount my pros,
1st-American Made
2nd-Quality construction with high quality material.
3rd- they use thicker material then others.
4th- several different locks to choose from to best suit your needs/desires.
5th- Lifetime Warranty on the whole safe with the exception of the locks which have there own warranty.
6th- the lid to the safe is spring loaded so it’s easy to open and know it’ll stay there until you want it closed.
7th- fairly deep constructed verses others which allows more items to be in the safe verses only a couple of small items.
8th- extremely easy to install. Takes more time to empty out the storage area then it is to install this safe. 9th- I’m sure there’s more but I’m just not thinking of them at the moment.

Now the cons
1st the openings at the rear of the safe which smaller items can fall out of or someone with tiny hands could gain the ability to get those smaller items.
2nd- not cheap.
3rd- again there could be other cons depending on your opinion but I can’t think of anything right now to list.

To conclude, I am very happy with this safe and will not hesitate to buy another one when I go to buy a new truck unless it will fit the new one. I would not let the safe in the truck to only give it away, due to prices and of course you get nothing extra for your old truck because of having this. I’m looking into buying the rear floorboard safes as well as I have great trust in these safes.
