SUVault® for 2011 to 2014 Ford Edge / Lincoln MKX **

This design was contracted by a local District Attorney for his agency's crime scene investigator vehicles. They need a place to securely store their long guns, body armor and expensive crime scene gear. The biggest problem, was the storage unit covers the spare tire. Our solution was to build a safe with an open bottom to allow access to the spare. Then, to prevent having to remove their AR15 and shotgun when getting the spare, we mounted the guns in the lid, making them more accessible, yet secure. The first unit delivered shown in the video has for now, carbon steel gas springs to open the lid. These will be replaced and the additional units will all have Made in the U.S.A. 316 Stainless Steel gas springs. Another feature is the LED lighted interior.
This unit is securely mounted to reduce the chance of theft and passenger injury in case of collision.
This unit is 42" wide, 34.75" front to rear and 6 " deep. Special orders can be made for different depths.
