I rarely leave reviews, however, with this product I felt compelled to let others out there know how awesome this product is. I just bought a new 2019 Toyota Tacoma and this console safe fit in PERFECTLY, like it was custom made. Installation was a snap and it looks beautiful in the center console. I purchased the extreme because of the additional 10 gauge steel that is reinforcing the 12 gauge steel on under side of lid where the locking mechanism is. I also spent the additional $150 for the metal encased touch pad lock. The touch pad is sleek and smooth and super easy to change your code. I love everything about it. HOWEVER, one suggestion to make this product "perfect" would be if the keypad were to light up when putting your code so you can access it without your car lights on and letting people see you messing around with your center console. If the keypad had that capability that would be ideal and a nice touch for the additional $150. That is the only downside of this product is that the key pad numbers cannot be illuminated (unless there is something I am not aware of and it does have that capability). Great by. This is an investment $329 plus an additional $150 = security and peace of mind. Bottom line, nothing is 100% but opening up your console and seeing a Lock'er Down Console Safe, that would be a HUGE deterrance for the usual dumb, lazy, smash and grab thief.

I bought the LD2047EX with the Metal cased electronic lock for my 2018 Tacoma. Fits well. Installed very easy. No modifying anything and no problems with console lid shutting. Lock/key pad very easy to use. Extra security for items left in car. I would highly recommend. *** I also bought the flashlight. It's an OK flashlight. I don't like how hard the on button is to find in the dark, or the light pattern. I would not buy the flashlight again. But I have looked in to buying the safe for my other vehicles.
