The LD2011X Model console safe from Lock’er Down is designed to fit the 2007 to 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, Suburban, and Tahoe as well as the 2007 to 2014 GMC Sierra, Yukon, and Yukon XL. This model includes 3 brackets on top of the 2 standard brackets for the LD2011 model, these brackets being the front, rear, and connecting strap. This model provides a USB extension cord, so that the USB port on the inside of the console can still be used and accessed from outside the safe. Note: This model will not fit the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra

The LD2011X Console Safe makes excellent use of the vehicle manufacturer's console space so that a pistol, camera, billfold, and other items can be safely kept out of view, and if one has children, away from their hands.
Lots of lock options are available to further customize the Console Safe to your liking. If I ever purchase another SUV or truck, and there is a Console Safe made for it, that'll be the first thing I purchase to upgrade the vehicle.

After ordering, I received a reply from Bobby minutes later indicating that I would receive the product in time for my upcoming trip and the "Safe" arrived quicker than expected.
Before purchasing, I watched the video on building the safe inside the console. When it was my turn, it went together as easily as it did in the video, from start to finish was about 15 minutes.
The safe fits like a glove and could pass as having been installed from the factory. It wouldn't stop someone that is totally focused on getting into the console if they have plenty of time (but then most safes won't), this safe will surely stop a smash and grab. I really like the fact that my console didn't lose much room inside and that with my belonging inside the safe and with the safe door closed, I'm able to have small items on top such as tissues, a pen and charger cables easily accessible and not lost inside the console.
Bottom line, you can't go wrong buying here.

I am very pleased with this safe. I did have to put a gasket in where the top latches to keep it from rattling, but that was simple enough. Also, the lock seems easy to pick but it should keep the honest people out.
All in all, I would have to say this safe is well worth what you pay for it. It is a very nice way to conceal things you don't want easily gotten to, and the USB extension port is a genius idea.
The packaging was top notch.

We do not delete or alter customer reviews, but sometimes a clarification is needed.
We try to keep the gaps to a minimum, but bending has certain tolerances and some early production had a little bigger gap than current offerings. With that said, although you might able to get a small screw drive in the gap, you will not pry open a safe like this made af 12 gauge steel with a screw driver.

Installation when just as easy as seen in the Video. I did have the pleasure of talking to Bob Newell and he was very helpful in answering any of my questions before I ordered this product. I did order the safe with the extra pick resistant (Abloy) keys and I feel this will offer the best security. Packaging and delivery were excellent. Received within 4 days from when I placed the order. Manufactured to high quality standards. I bought it many for conceal and carry fire arms and other valuables.

The safe construction seems sturdy and has a quality finish. Fit was great and assembly was straight forward with no difficulties. You retain upwards of 90% of the console volume after installation. The lock was somewhat loose upon arrival but I just tightened the holding nut. The combination numbers are small and will be difficult to read in low light conditions. You may need to keep a flashlight close by. I have little faith in any safe but this should definitely slow them down. Hopefully long enough that they lose interest and move on to the next vehicle. I have actually been broken into in a hotel parking lot and lost an iPad to the perp. This safe will make it more difficult for the next guy, especially if they are not interested in spending more than a few seconds inside the car. Shipping was very fast.

Simple to install, 15 minutes or less. I carry concealed and there are times when I can't carry my gun with me because some places (kid's school, visiting courthouses..etc.) are off limits. I carried a small gun safe that was stashed in my vehicle but I always felt that this would be easily stolen by a smash and grab vehicle burglar and later pried open at a different location. Even when anchored down by the thin security cable.
The safe is anchored inside of the console so a burglar would have to dismantle your console to get inside, or try to pry it open which could draw attention. I'm not saying that this safe is impenetrable, it just presents more of a challenge to someone looking for a quick smash and grab and moving on. Also this gives me much more space than my gun safe so I can place other important valuables inside for safe keeping as well. Great for taking my kids to the water park and don't want to haul in my phone, watch etc.

I was very pleased to have ordered this console safe for my new Chevy Surb. I decided to look around for a replacement for the Console vault and found the Console Safe thanks to a couple of car forums and the great reviews they had.
I can tell you that this is an upgrade - I have more space and use of the entire console including the 12V and USB adapters. The Steel is much thicker than the CV. The ordering, shipping and instructions were perfect - no issues at all. The included instructions and WEB site video's make the installation simple, make sure you follow the steps in the instructions - there is four screws for a reason :)
I really like the nice feature of the USB being available outside of the safe.
This is a well thought out and well designed solution. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a Console Safe or an upgrade to the CV.

Excellent solution when you need to properly secure a firearm when you have to leave it in your vehicle (ie going into a business with a 30.06 sign in Texas). The product is easy to install and the fit and finish are of as high of quality as you could ask. Forget the portable lock box solutions (watch the YouTube clip from defcon 19) - this with the abloy lock option is the best option for security.

This is a quality product. It's made out of some BEEFY steel which is a bit ironic, because they pack it as if they were shipping the Mona Lisa. LOL. Needless to say, it arrived in perfect condition.
I installed it in no time and it works like a charm. The spring loaded lid allows you to leave it unlocked while in the vehicle and have it open and close automatically with your normal console lid latch. You then simple twist the lock and spin the dials when you park.
It is very well thought out and extremely well fitted to my 2011 Tahoe.

I took my time and it took about 20 minutes - used some masking tape around the edges of the console opening to keep from nicking things up. Supplied screws were a perfect thread pitch with the GM OEM screws so they went in easily without binding. I researched console safes for some time and chose this one over the competitions model - well designed and full access to USB and 12Volt Console power port. Very pleased -

I did a lot of research on these types of secure containers for vehicles and this one appeared to be the best solution for my needs. I received it, and installation was super easy-- just like the video (I recommend watching the video first- it made everything make total sense). The container is very well made and very secure. I would highly recommend this product and really cannot say enough good things about it. I work as a Law Enforcement Officer and need secure storage in my POV-- this one fits the bill to a tee. It also make GREAT use of all of the available space in that center console. There really is nothing like this on the market from anyone else. I also had a chance to talk to the owner, Robert Newell-- super nice man who was very helpful with a subsequent order I made for another product. A+ on the product and A+ on customer service!

Everything I expected and more. It was very easy to install and if you run into an issue just watch the video. Solid design and looks great.
Our Suburban didn't have the rubber mats (only carpet) so maybe a recommendation is to design a bottom piece that is padded. I laid some foam from the packaging down so items wouldn't get scratched on the metal. Eventually I will cut some carpet or rubber out. Overall, I feel very secure with this product and feel it will prevent smash & grabs that are common in L.A. area. Customer Service was great and delivery no issues. Thanks

I don't usually take the time to provide reviews on my purchases. I recently submitted a police report on an auto burglary. This was the third time someone entered my Suburban and helped themselves to my personal property. A couple pairs of high end Polarized Ray Bans, my Bully dog tuner and they attempted to take my Valentine One radar detector. I am fed up. Then I ran across the Lock'er Down console safe. I had researched console safes in the past but wasn't happy with sliding a locking box into my console and losing almost half the space. The way the Lock'er Down is designed, you lose very little space and the install time and process is relatively short and simple. I am absolutely happy with my latest truck mod. In addition, Bobby took the time to discuss a few points with me prior to my purchase. I can assure you, I will be installing a new Lock'er Down console safe with every new truck purchase.

Very happy with the security of this. Builds very easy, I watched the video the night before I installed it then just followed the directions. Maybe 10 min to put it in. Surprisingly more room between the console door and top of the safe. To give a frame of reference I am able to put a bottle of water laid down and it will close with no problem. Door is spring loaded so it pops open and stays open, that was unexpected and very nice. Product support is great I think I called 3 times to ask questions prior to purchase and got someone right away or a call back.
Oh yea, it looks bad ass too.

I purchased this safe for my son-in-law who is a pilot in the military. He installed the unit a few days ago and was extremely impressed. The quality of the material and the fit inside the center console were perfect. He was able to fit two pistols, 6 magazines, hearing protection and still room for some other small items. Originally I was looking at another safe company but they failed to respond to my two emails i sent. Locker Down on the other hand has been very responsive and their product is made in the USA. If you carry a firearm this is a must buy.

The lock box is the real thing. Real steel, heavy , easy to install and great hinges. It should stop anything short of a Caterpillar
My weapon is now safe so that if the car is broken into I will not be adding weapons on the street to the thugs that steal them

Once I set the combination and grabbed a 1/2 inch deep-socket wrench, I was able to install my locker in less than 15 minutes with no problem.
As I was doing so, I took a good look at the quality and thickness of the steel, the welds, and the fit and finish. This is an EXTREMELY well designed and well built console safe!
Everything aligned perfectly, with just enough space to fit comfortably, but without any extra sloppy space. Great attention to detail in the design and engineering! I also love the fact that there's almost the same amount of space inside the console as I had before, and I was able to re-pack everything exactly as it was. Perfect!
As I closed the lid and locked it up, a smile broke out on my face. I now have a sexy, strong, sturdy safe inside my truck, and I installed it myself? Yeah.

Safe is a good quality safe, fit and finish. However I had contacted customer service repeatedly to order a special lock for the safe and the only had one call answered and then never followed up on. After numerous emails and voice messages I received no reply. My custom settled on a downgraded option.

These products cost a little more than others but it is worth it and you can see it in the construction and craftsmanship and durability of these products. Owner and staff are friendly and helpful on the phone. I would not hesitate to recommend these to my friends or family. I would buy these again!
