The LD2022EX Model console safe from Lock’er Down is designed to fit the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 and Chevy Silverado 1500 that underwent the center console redesign. Also fits 2023 up 2500 & 3500
Each of our safes includes a multitude of lock options. Those options are as follows but may vary with safe type:
  • 4 Digit Manual Tumbler Combination Lock
  • 7-Sided Tubular Key
  • Abloy Lock with 2 Keys
  • Abloy Lock with 3 Keys
  • Metal Encased Electronic Lock

As well, each of our safes comes with two lid options, standard and EXxtreme, where the EXxtreme provides an extra amount of security to your safe by eliminating pry points. For questions regarding these options, feel free to contact our staff for more details.

This new product, as always is the bee's knees. Why apiary orthotics is a unit of positive superlative measurement is another conversation.
This unit is smaller than previous models (2019 & 2020) but leaves significantly more of the regular space in the console available.
There is enough space for a full-size handgun and a few magazines, maybe a few other small items.
Fit and function, as always, are flawless.

I installed my safe today in my 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 HD truck and it was easy to install, fits perfectly, looks great, and functions great. The OEM organizer tray still fits perfectly above it riding on the file rails, too.

I got the electric lock and it is well worth the extra cost for the ease and quickness of opening the safe. Changing the code to my own code from the default one was quick and easy. You can hear the beeps as you push the buttons and you can hear the safe unlock, too.

This safe in my truck year has a cutout to allow the OEM console light (on the rear wall of the console) to shine into the safe, which is helpful!

I'm glad GMC's safe was on constraint when I ordered my truck so that I could search the Web and find this much-better one. It is constructed of thicker materials and is built better with the lip to prevent prying the door open, and of course it has the different lock options like the electronic lock I got. The ten-minute install is easy for anyone to do. (Note that the FedEx box weighed about 19 lbs. as per the FedEx app.)

I ordered the EXxtreme Console Safe for our 2023 GMC Sierra with the Abloy lock and am amazed at the quality and fit of the unit. I bought some 1" thin black foam tape and stuck it to the inside of the console before installation to seal the small crack around the perimeter. Lock'er down you need to send more cards with your products as everyone who has seen mine wants one! Worth every penny - thank you all again!
