This is the second locker down console box I've bought, they install nicely, great fit, and it deters the thief. Most wont risk ripping open a whole console to get change etc. Don't think for a minute people don't go through your stuff when they have the chance. Lockerdown consoles are really rugged and dont leave room for anyone to pry it open using common tools. Also if you get pulled over and give consent to search your vehicle, You've made effort to protect your privacy and rights. They're not getting in without a real warrant. It might be a little pricey upfront, but considering what your insurance company wont pay for or will deny. This evens the score. Built smart, tough, rugged, makes no noise, easy to lock and unlock, hidden. There's enough room for a full frame, and other stuff plus u still get access to power ports etc. completely happy w both !!

Installation was pretty easy, it just took a bit of wiggling to get everything lined up, and a little outward pressure on the sides to get the top pins to line up. Once everything was aligned and I torqued down the bolts and everything is great. The YouTube video and the included instructions are a great help!
I got the Exxtreme with the electronic lock, it is a bit tight to close/lock but easy to unlock. I like that it locks solid/tightly because it does not rattle or make any noise, and would be harder to try to pry open. The electronic lock is also easy (but not too easy) to reset the combo if I need to take it in for service and they might need to get access to the console or USB.
The interior ambient light provides enough light to see the digital keypad to unlock, and the console light helps illuminate the interior as well. Of course access to the USB and 12V outlets is easy inside the safe.
Finally, this thing feels very solid and safe, and best of all hidden and didn’t require altering my new vehicle.
